I grew up in Hurst Green/Oxted, Surrey and joined the Royal Navy from school in 1976. Left the RN in 1999 and settled in Hampshire, having had a thoroughly good time and finding a wonderful wife who has given me a great family (two sons and a daughter). I'm now a proud grandfather. Only regret was not getting into photography during my time at sea as I've experienced so much that was worth photographing. I prefer natural looking images and generaly try not to alter originals too much, though sometimes it's fun to experiment with editing. Photography for me is a hobby and I am very much a learner.
