Tripod

I am looking for a compact lightweight but stable tripod to take with me on a trip to the Cairngorms this Easter. Could anybody advice me of a reasonably priced tripod or the best place to find one? My camera is a S9600

Hi Andy,
I just bought a Velbon CX 440 for my S9600 & it is light, quite stable & ideal as a tripod for travelling (comes with carry bag & strap) got it from John Lewis, £19.50 (free delivery) You can get smaller Velbon`s that will fit in a rucksack for hiking etc if that`s what you need ... HTH.
