HI ALL YOU WILL NOTICE THAT I REMOVED MY PREVIOUS ENTRY--THIS WAS FOR TWO REASONS, FIRSTLY, I DECIDED I WANTED TO LIGHTEN UP THE SHIP BECAUSE MANY MADE COMMENT THAT IT WAS TOO DARK.

SECONDLY, IT WOULD SEEM THAT THERE WERE A FEW PEOPLE THAT WERE UPSET THAT MY ENTRY WAS ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE HIGHEST COMMENTS PAGE.. WHEN I HAD POSTED MANY NOTES ONTO THE THREAD MYSELF. INCLREASING THE NUMBER OF POSTS AND HENCE BRINGING IT CLOSER TO THE FRONT AND OBVIOUSLY EASIER TO VEIW THAN THEIR ENTRIES..

I WANT TO POINT OUT THAT I ONLY JOINED THIS SITE A WEEK OR SO AGO AND I AM QUITE NEW TO ALL THIS.

I WILL THERFORE NOT BE POSTING ONTO MY OWN THREAD UNLESS I AM ASKED A QUESTION, OR I FEEL I NEED TO MAKE A COMMENT ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN SAID.

SO ABOUT MY PICTURE.

I SPOTTED THIS SHIP AS I WAS DRIVING FROM LLANDUDNO TO FLINT, AND AS I WAS TOLD LAST TIME, IT IS SITUATED NEAR HOLLYWELL.

WHEN WE APROCHED THE SHIP FOR A CLOSER LOOK, IT BECAME CLEAR THAT IT WAS NOT INFACT IN THE SEA, INSTEAD, IT WAS SITTING ON THE LAND. BUT STILL HAD STEPS LEADING UP TO IT.AND AN ANCHOR CHAIN AS CAN BE SEEN. SOME LOCALS TOLD ME THAT IT HAD BEEN PUT THERE TO BE USED AS A NIGHTCLUB, BUT HAD BEEN CLOSED DOWN FOR MANY YEARS, AND BASICALLY NOW IT HAS JUST BEEN LEFT FOR THE ELEMENTS TO TAKE THEIR TOLL.

I commented on your original image & had no problem with it at all, but I must admit this version does have more impact. Take no notice of the moaning minnies, every site has them! Good luck in the comp.

I highlighted what I thought was the important word in your comment. Most of us I'm sure, really don't care who has the most comments or what page their entry appears on. The few who do should be allowed to worry to their hearts content and then be ignored in my view.

A striking image Martin and I love the colour of that sky. Might have included a bit more of that around the top of the mast rather than cutting it off, but that's just my personal preference. Well done!

I didn't see the original so can't comment on that but this one is a great image with perfect tones and colours. If I may mention the distraction that caught my eye when viewed large is the 'blob' in the bottom left corner.  I couldn't make out if its supposed to be there or not.  As for the cutting off of the antenni, well I think you made the right choice otherwise I don't think the photo would have worked quite so well.  Oh, and welcome to the site.
